A pressing issue that many college students at our school face is eating healthy, balanced meals. Especially with how easy it is to eat out or skip meals, many college students have fallen victim to inconsistent eating schedules and imbalanced portions/nutrients. Therefore, we were inspired to design an app that assists young adults with tracking and planning their meals to support them in following healthy lifestyles.

Design Challenge
College students (undergraduate, 18-22 years old) who have difficulty managing their eating habits struggle with following healthy, balanced diets when planning/preparing their daily meals, leading to inconsistent and insufficient food consumption. This is important because young adults need to feed their bodies correctly for longevity and optimal performance.
How might we support young adults who have difficulty managing their eating habits by following healthy, balanced diets when preparing meals at home to feed their bodies correctly for longevity and optimal performance?

Introduction
Creating a meaningful yet creative application in 10 weeks was our goal.
With the limited time available, JYELISHOUS was created during Informatics 132: Project in Human-Computer Interaction Requirements and Evaluation, a quarter long project, with the prompt assignment of health and wellness.
Background
Our project focuses on helping adults practice healthy and consistent eating habits through meal-prepping, nutrition tracking, grocery list assistance, and meal customization. We will design an all-in-one meal-prepping app that young adults, specifically those who struggle with their eating habits, can use to browse recipes and plan their daily meals.
